CDC Small Business Finance (CDC) is committed to the economic development of communities by providing access to capital for small business through distinctive and innovative lending products and services. CDCs are required to not only deliver the SBA-504 loan product, but meet other needs in the community, including reinvesting in the communities they serve. CDC Small Business Finance has embodied the value to reinvest from its inception.
CDC Small Business Finance has a long history of leadership in the SBA 504 program (and its predecessor programs), meeting the capital and related needs of underserved areas and populations as well as leadership in economic development communities. This history has been characterized by strong, consistent advocacy for the needs of small business, support of SBA’s District Offices and local resource partners, accountability and transparency in governance, innovation in new program and service development that increases access to capital. This is coupled with an unwavering commitment to investments in the communities served by CDC, in the form of monetary investments and staff time on boards, committees and commissions.
CDC Small Business Finance annually selects deserving individuals to receive scholarships from the Arthur H. Goodman Scholarship Endowment Fund.
